Possible bug in Breadcrumb navigator?

Navigation for WPF Forum

Hi

From time to time I get a ""Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error when clicking on the menu items of my breadcrumb navigator. Unfortunately I am not able to recognize a reproductible pattern.

Maybe the Stack Trace can help you find something:

Hi Radu,

What version of WPF Studio are you using? Based on the stack trace the exception is being raised by the DockSite class, which is part of our Docking & MDI for WPF product. We fixed an issue in WPF Studio 4.5.0486, relating to ContentElements getting focus (which appears to be the case here).

If you are not using the latest version of WPF Studio, then I'd recommend try that. If that doesn't work, then please try to put together a small sample project and send it over.

I am using 503. I will try to prepare a sample (with reproductible bug) and post it tomorrow. Thanks for help.

Unfortunately I am not able to isolate the problem in a simple demo app :(

I will try to debug it somehow, as it comes from time to time and crashes the complete application. I was also not able to reproduce it by following some pattern... very strange...

Hi Radu,

I added an additional check to VisualTreeHelperExtended.GetCurrentOrAncestor that should prevent the NullReferenceException.

Thank you... I suppose the fix will be included in the next Maintenance Release ;)
