We have two developer licenses for our two developers. We've created a setup using visual studio 2003's setup creation system. We then installed our runtime on a client's computer. When the client goes to run our script editor module, the user comes up with a message saying that they need to buy a developer's license to use the editor. Why does this message come up? How do we fix this?

It sounds like your license is not being compiled into your application properly. Do you have the correct licenses.licx entry in your project that calls SyntaxEditor? Make sure the version numbers match too. You can copy the line from our licenses.licx file in our sample project. Our Licensing FAQ page in Customer Relations has more info on this. Please refer to that too.

Thanks! I found out that we didn't include the line in out license.licx file. It works now. <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0">
