We are currently using the latest version of the Winform SyntaxEditor component. We have a very extensive project that relies on the WinForm SE, but we're interesting in switching... if possible. I'd like to hear people's real-world estimates on how long it took them to migrate from the Winform SE to the WPF SE. Thanks.

Hi Lee,

There are a lot of features that are in SyntaxEditor, many of which have already been implemented and improved in the WPF version. Yet there still are some areas that haven't been implemented yet (such as no language add-ons). The time to convert could be extremely fast or moderate, it really depends on which features you use. Our Language Designer can auto-convert dynamic language XML definitions to the new format for you. And most lexing and parsing concepts are very similar in both WinForms/WPF although we have a more refined and flexible object model in WPF.

By all means if any customers would like to discuss their conversion experiences, please do so.
