Evaluating v3 messed up v2

I downloaded the version 3 version yesterday and installed it with the purpose of evaluating the new features and how difficult it might be to upgrade our projects to it. Now I opened up our projects and everything is pointed to the v3 wizard, and I didn't make any changes to my project at all. Why did everything automatically upgrade and how do I get it back to using v2? I thought I could have both versions run independently...all I wanted to do was open your test project for v3 and everything has now been messed up I'm also getting a v2 license dialog when I wasn't before, but in my References-->ActiproSoftware.Wizard for my project, the path is now pointed to the v3 directory. I didn't change anything here.

We changed the public key when creating new versions but it seems like Microsoft doesn't make that matter when looking for assemblies. You might be able to put something in your app.config that specifies exactly which version of Wizard to use for that application.

If you want to go back to v2.0, then probably uninstall 3.0 and do a Rebuild Solution on your projects. See if that fixes it.

Thanks for the help! Uninstalling and then updating one of the references fixed the problem.

I did get to evaluate the new stuff and it looks very good. I especially like that you can turn off the border between the top graphic and content section of interior pages.

Looks like it will be a fairly major project to upgrade our ~30 wizards though since they all use methods/events that were renamed and all have graphics/colors that would need to be moved into the new Renderer. It would be nice to have a single renderer that would control our different themes though.

Thanks again.

The renaming shouldn't be too bad... a quick find/replace should handle most of those.

Resetting the images is a little more of a manual process but at least now it's in a much nicer object model and you can give your wizards cool effects like gradient backgrounds.
