Out of Memory Exception

SyntaxEditor for Silverlight Forum

I keep getting a "out of memory exception" in design mode when working on a silverlight usercontrol with two editors on it. It is only the syntax editor that is getting this error and only the page with the editors on it. The individual controls get a "cannot create instance error". This is a tough one to isolate.

Hi Robert,

We haven't heard any reports of this so far. If you can, please try to isolate the problem in a simple sample project and email it to us with steps on how to repro it.

Also make sure you attach a new VS instance to the first VS instance and set the second instance to break when all CLR exceptions are thrown (from the VS Exceptions dialog). That should allow you to see more details about the exception, such as message, stack trace, innermost exception, etc. That would be helpful too.

We'd appreciate it if you could do this ASAP as we are likely launching Silverlight Studio 2010.2 this week.
