Pointer needle wrap around with damping

I'm trying to create a clock that is the same as the example clock in the sample project but has smooth scrolling instead of a "tick".

The problem is when the second hand go's from 59 to 0 it winds CCW all the way back to zero?

Is there a way to stop this.

I also have the same issue on an Altimeter gauge where you want the needle to smoothly rotate continuously for increasing values i.e. looping around 0 to 100
