I am using Spider Writer 5.20.0610 and I am running Windows XP. For some reason, even though I close Spider Writer completely, it remains open in memory. When I open the Task Manager, there is still an entry for Spider Writer in both the Applications and Processes sections, even though the app is closed. Another weird thing is that when I close the app using the File|Exit command, the program shuts down properly and doesn't remain in memory. However, when I click the close button in the top right corner, it remains open in memory.

I am hoping someone can help me out, as each session of the app is using approx. 15 MB of resources.

Thanks,
Cory

That certainly is strange behavior. Unfortunately I don't know what I can tell you, since that doesn't appear to be happening to most people. I guess the only thing for you to do is just stick to the File|Exit command instead of the X button.

I have heard of this happening when running SW with a crack to get by the registration. The crack modifies the EXE file and causes this error, and who knows what else.

I'm not saying that's what you did, but I'm just relaying what I've heard.
