I recently had a Windows reinstall go very awry and ended up having no other choice but to format and then reinstall. I backed up the "Config", "Data" and "Snippets" folders, and all of that works fine. I lost my syntax color settings and my custom color palette, however. Where are these settings kept, so that I may back those up as well in the future?
Luckily I had kept a record of my color settings in a spreadsheet, and my colors were stored in a 3rd-party color picker, AI-Color, but I will still have to change them manually. <IMG SRC="frown.gif" border="0">

The custom colors for the color dialog are stored in the registry. The color settings for parsers is stored in the .PAR files in the Parsers sub-folder. For your backups, add that sub-folder to your list of backup folders, as well as SpellChk (if you have custom spell checking words) and Template if you have custom templates.

Thanks for the info. Personally, I hate the registry. I'd rather have the custom color pallette saved in an .ini file like AI SmartColor does. Here's an example:

[SavedColors]
nColors=39
Color0=8DD907
Color1=3980F4
Color2=FF7419
Color3=1A50B8
Color4=FFD314
Color5=5A7DDE
Color6=325DFA
Color7=FFEC7C
Color8=FFA57B
Color9=FF7B90
Color10=7B90FF
Color11=7F4FAF
Color12=663387
