The DEL key becomes inactive in Design Mode.
When in the Design Mode, if my cursor leaves the large, text edit control (the editor), the DEL key loses functionality on return.
As noted elsewhere, when editing, the cursor can "fall off" of the main text editing control by attempting to move the cursor "above" the first line or "below" the last line. In these cases, other controls gain focus on the form.
When the cursor is returned to the main edit control, the DEL key no longer performs the delete function. It will not delete a single character. It will not delete a block.
Functionality returns after changing the "View" to "Document Source" and then returning to "Design."
The menu selections, accessible via the Alt-E + D keystrokes (or mouse action in the menus) still deletes characters and blocks.
The DEL key, though, must feel very badly about this oversight.
