Determine width of a string in StatusBarLabelPanel

I can't seem to access the font used by this control but I would like to measure how wide a string is in that font in order to set the width. Any ideas on how can I do this?

Hi Keith,

Our VisualStudio2005StatusBarRenderer for instance uses the StatusBarPanelDefaultFont property on itself for the Font.

The latest build of this product (v24.1.0) was released 3 months ago, which was after the last post in this thread.
