Change file encoding

Thanks for the suggestion.  We've been thinking about how to implement this.  Right now there is a setting in the "Settings / Editor" flyout that chooses the encoding to use for all documents.

If we add a document-specific setting, should it be such that the "Settings / Editor" encoding setting would be the default that gets applied when files are created/opened, but then from that point on, changing that default setting would not affect any open documents?  Each document would need to have its encodings altered via a new dropdown on the "Document Properties" pane that would affect that document's encoding only.

Is that what you are looking for?
